I waited a few weeks before I could actually go to one of the Bombay Drawing Room events (in my vicinity) and absolutely loved it. What a creative and progressive way to spend those few hours! They are exactly as they promise they will be. Everything was well-organized and seamless and the artist was very confident, helpful and non-judgmental. I could see her helping and encouraging others who probably did not have a good “hand” at painting. The arrangements were perfect – the painting logistics, the quick bites and the drink. They encouraged a healthy discussion amongst participants also but they themselves were very appreciative of each participant. I love the concept that has been popular in the west but was never implemented her….I would love to go to many more events with BDR, maybe organize a party with them too and see them expand their horizons! Art is for your soul!! And they are spreading the positivity….

I just spent the most wonderful weekend painting with the Bombay Drawing Room. It was a fantastic experience with Snehal and the entire crew taking care of every little detail and guiding us in the most awesome way. Loved the way Snehal led the session, patiently guiding us through every little step. Met a lot of new people as well in a friendly and super non-judgemental environment. For someone who has never painted before, I am thrilled with the final result. Thank you BDR! I will be back for more.

I had been meaning to join one of these sessions but it was only on 28th Oct that I finally got myself to do it, largely because my friend Yukti is a serious art lover and this seemed like the perfect farewell gift before she leaves Mumbai for good. We painted the Moroccan designs on canvas, the lovely symmetric designs splattered with bright colors, it was cathartic! I picked the brush after a long while, had fun with colors, and with the group. We were at Soda Bottle Openerwala so the ambience helped stir our creativity! Snehal and Namrata are not just great at guiding, they make sure you feel special about your work, however amateurish it is, which leaves you with a sense of pride and accomplishment. I must say I was determined to start painting again after the session, much success to the group and thanks for waking the artist in me:)

I attended the Monet’s Water Lilies Workshop and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was a wonderful experience. I really doubted that I would be able to use paints directly on canvas with so much ease. But thanks to Kshama and her team who made it so easy and simple. She was awesome and was always around to help. I was really happy to see my artwork at the end of the session. Bombay Drawing Room really made my Sunday morning colorful and bright. The team is very warm and friendly and makes sure you enjoy every bit of the session! Great work guys!

For someone who cant even draw a straight line, attending an art session at Bombay Drawing Room was unthinkable. But yet I took the step and am glad I did. The best part about their sessions is that its not a test on whether you can draw or not. Its about having fun. Its about letting loose. And that’s exactly what I was looking for. Snehal and her fabulous team make sure that your 2-3 hrs are spent enjoying colours and art and not stressing about whether you are getting the perfect angle or drawing.
